■ Rare antique cufflinks manufactured in Japan in the 1930s.
The crystal used is colorless, transparent, and boasts high clarity, with almost no inclusions. Japan was highly regarded worldwide for its crystal quality and polishing techniques at the time, and the precise cutting enhances the clear brilliance when exposed to light.
Such crystal products were an important export for Japan, which was poor in resources, to earn foreign currency, and they also tell a story of economic and cultural background.
The metal parts strongly reflect the Art Deco style, which was popular at the time, and the buckle has a streamlined design with smooth curves. The gold color is finished with "K14 PLATED (14-karat gold plated)," and it can be seen that many processes were done by hand, unlike today.
By pairing them with a simple shirt or a dark suit, the crystal of the cufflinks will add an elegant shine, and especially in formal settings such as weddings and parties, they will create a modest yet refined look.
